What hiring managers provide
Account email and password, job title, company name, the two questions you add to a test, and billing details processed by our payment provider.
What candidates provide
First name, last name and email, consent to recording, and five spoken voice responses. Candidates may optionally upload a CV where the hiring organization requests it.
What Demo visitors provide
A 45-second spoken answer, then a name and email address (any personal or work email) to reveal the result. We link your name and email to your Demo grade and status, the time you viewed your result and whether you clicked the next-step links (build a test, see a sample Report), plus a source tag where collected. An optional, unchecked follow-up box lets you ask us to contact you about using GritChecker; it is never required to see your result. You can withdraw that permission or ask for deletion at any time through our contact page.
We keep a one-way hashed digest of your email to enforce one free Demo per person. It stops being used after 30 days, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing billing@gritchecker.com. We also use a first-party browser token and a keyed network digest as abuse safeguards; we never store your raw IP address and we do not fingerprint your device.
Voice recording, transcription and AI-assisted analysis
Spoken responses are recorded, transcribed, and analysed by automated, AI-assisted technology against fixed, question-specific criteria. The behavioral grade is based on what was said, not on accent, tone, confidence, speaking speed or filler words.
Purpose
To deliver evidence-based assessment Reports to hiring organizations, to show Demo visitors their own result, to prevent abuse, and to run billing and support.
Who receives assessment results
The hiring organization that sent the assessment link receives the candidate's GritChecker Report according to the package it purchased. GritChecker does not make employment decisions; the hiring organization does.
Retention
Candidate audio and transcripts can be deleted at any time on request. Email billing@gritchecker.com and we will delete them within 30 days. Automatic deletion is planned.
The retained Report contains the candidate's name, grades and the selected evidence excerpts needed for the hiring organization to use it. Demo lead details (name, email, grade, status and link activity), including follow-up opt-ins, are deleted on request. Automatic deletion is not yet switched on; until it is, deletion is carried out manually. Abandoned or blocked Demo recordings are deleted much sooner. Account, billing and legal records may be kept longer where required.
Service providers
- Voice transcription: AssemblyAI.
- AI-assisted analysis: OpenAI.
- Hosting, database and private file storage: Lovable Cloud.
- Payments: Stripe.
- Email delivery: Lovable's email service.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not claim deletion or retention guarantees beyond what their controls provide.
Security
Recordings are stored privately and are only reachable through short-lived signed links for authorised hiring managers. No system is perfectly secure; we use reasonable technical and organisational measures.
